Chestermere is a quiet, family oriented city that is just outside the official boundaries of the city of Calgary. It has a small-town atmosphere and community spirit while only being a 22 minute drive to downtown Calgary. It offers great amenities for families, retirees, business people, etc., plus it’s very affordable compared to the rest of the Calgary area.

The majority of people living in Chestermere are raising a family, which means there’s plenty of opportunities for children. Being a smaller town also means less traffic, so you can let your children walk to school or play freely in the neighbourhood.

One of the nicest attractions in Chestermere is Lake Chestermere. There are numerous beaches for mining, swimming and boating. There are also various parks surrounding the lake with picnic tables and grilling areas for people to enjoy.

There are also great recreational activities to try out in Chestermere. Golfing is a popular activity Lakeside Golf Club is only a few minutes away.

Chelsea in Chestermere

Almost 70% of the community are either Married or Common Law and 60% of households contain 3 or more people.

This means that 2/3 of households will require a 2 Bed+Den or 3 Bedroom unit and the remaining 30% will need a 2 Bed or smaller. Most of the housing in Chestermere are low-rise houses so there are not many options for people looking to buy or rent a smaller property.
